Roman Kupchynsky is a co-founder and Managing Principal of MedProperties. Mr. Kupchynsky oversees MedProperties’ legal affairs, and he focuses on the healthcare regulatory and industry related concerns pertaining to underwriting MedProperties related portfolio investments. Mr. Kupchynsky is member of MedProperties’ Investment Committee.
Mr. Kupchynsky practiced law for almost 36 years, and prior to co-founding MedProperties, he was a partner with the law firm of Gardere Wynne Sewell, LLP where he remains in an “of counsel” position. As an attorney, Mr. Kupchynsky advised on and structured a number of healthcare real estate projects including the Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital at Baylor University Medical Center, Frisco Medical Center, Plano Presbyterian Surgical Hospital and numerous ambulatory surgery centers, long term acute care hospitals, imaging centers and catheterization laboratory transactions around the United States. In the course of his legal practice, Mr. Kupchynsky gained extensive experience in representing and advising various healthcare entities such as large hospitals, specialty hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and large physician groups on formation, financing, mergers and acquisition issues and healthcare regulatory matters.
Mr. Kupchynsky has a Bachelor of Arts degree, and a Juris Doctor degree, from Southern Methodist University.
